Grid-Tie Systems
People that are buying power from a utility can save money by ordering a solar electric "grid-tie" system. In most states, excess power generated at the site can be fed back into the electric grid, thus reducing the monthly bill further.
Our Chief Technical Officer, Darryl Thayer, has installed many grid-tie systems, including a 97 KW system on the roof of the new Hennepin County Maintenance Building and a 34 kW solar PV array at the Green Institute's Phillips Eco-Enterprise Center.
