Mission
The mission of Energy Independence Group is to help its clients save money on utility bills and improve their environmental foot prints. This also reduces our dependence on fossil products like oil, coal and gas. EIG is staffed to conduct engineering studies of needs and site conditions. EIG will then recommend improvements in lighting and insulation. If justified, EIG will design and install an appropriate solar electric, solar water heating or other renewable energy system on your property in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
About EIG
EIG began in 2009, merging in 2011 with Darryl Thayer and Associates, who since 1979 has designed and installed more than 1,000 Energy Saving and Renewable Energy Systems. He has also taught most of the installers in this area. Today, EIG is a group of talented architects, engineers, designers, installers, contractors and maintainers. Two installers are NABCEP Certified so EIG clients receive full tax rebates.
EIG is developing a line of products for users that are off the power grid. The first of these products is a renewable energy system that provides electricity for Ice Fishing Houses.
Installing better lighting and insulation plus a Renewable Energy system is not only the "right thing to do," its also one of the safest investments available in these turbulent times.
